Darlington Rhythm & Tunes is returning to the town centre from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 September. The free music festival, presented by Darlington Borough Council in conjunction with Darlington Rock n Blues Club and Gasto Promotions, will feature live sets across multiple musical genres including pop, rock, country, blues and soul.
The event started as a blues festival but has evolved to embrace a wider range of musical styles. Next year the organisers plan a make-over with a new musical theme to expand the range further.
Venues and Performance Schedule
Performances will take place across town centre venues including The Form Music Centre, Vesuvio, The Britannia and The Quaker House.
The Market Square stage will feature headline acts on Saturday from 3pm: Blondied, Fu Fighters and Chilifornication. On Sunday from 1pm, the stage will host The Boneshakers, The Addiction, John Verity Band and Band of Friends.
The Rhythm & Blues Fringe, now in its 30th year, will see additional performances in town centre venues from 2pm into the evening on Sunday.
What's On
Both original and tribute performers will be taking to stages throughout the weekend. All performances are free to attend.
